Shannon M: From charting on paper to charting with the Kindara app

I read the book "Taking Charge of Your Fertility" and started tracking... on paper. It was a nightmare. Luckily I started a few month before my husband and I were actually going to start "trying" to get pregnant. I figured it would help me to understand my body better and help me to realize if there were any inherited issues (both my mother and my sister had serious issues getting pregnant and had to undergo fertility treatments).

This app was a lifesaver. That first month I did horribly because we were still childless- which meant we traveled on the weekends A LOT. So I was constantly forgetting my paper or I didn't have a pen or blah, blah, blah. I figured there had to be an app I could use to streamline things.

I'm embarrassed to admit I downloaded probably 5 different apps, including Kindara. It became apparent VERY early on that Kindara was the app for me. It most closely tracked what I wanted and didn't have any gimmicky "let us guess when you'll be fertile/ guess when your period will start" features.

I only tracked for two months with Kindara and we were pregnant! It was fascinating learning about my body and how it works. Frankly, I was quite embarrassed about how little I knew and how much my own body had to tell me. I haven't tracked in almost a year because I was pregnant and my period still hasn't returened (still breastfeeding my 8.5 mo old). But, I plan to start tracking again as soon as my period returns and that way I'll have a great idea on when to get busy again for baby number two!

I also appreciate that every update that Kindara has rolled out is actually helpful and not some gimmick.
