BOULDER, CO – May 16, 2017 – Kindara, a company devoted to giving women the tools they need to take ownership of their reproductive health and meet their fertility goals, recently appointed Tia Newcomer to the role of Chief Operating Officer. Newcomer brings with her two decades of experience managing tech, consumer and women’s health care brands, including Prelude Fertility, HP and Cord Blood Registry. As COO, she will focus on managing the day-to-day operations of the Kindara team, while simultaneously expanding the brand’s direct-to-consumer business through partnerships and fundraising.
“Tia is a seasoned women’s health executive with extensive experience operating successful startups and international corporations, alike,” said Ira Hernowitz, CEO of Kindara. “We will undoubtedly benefit from her fertility industry insight and leadership expertise as we enter an exciting growth stage at Kindara.”
Newcomer joins Kindara from Prelude Fertility, where as Chief Revenue Officer she developed and implemented a go-to-market plan that created demand and launched the Prelude product to consumers. Prior to Prelude Fertility, Newcomer was responsible for defining and executing Cord Blood Registry’s go-to-market strategy as Vice President of Marketing and Commercial Operations. Newcomer’s digital consumer marketing capabilities were a critical factor in the ultimate sale of Cord Blood Registry to AMAG Pharmaceuticals, where she continued in the role of Vice President of Digital Engagement.
“Kindara is an incredible company with a powerful brand and hundreds of thousands of active users. We are revolutionizing the women’s health care industry by empowering women to learn more about their bodies, enabling them to have earlier, and better, conversations about their fertility journey with their healthcare providers,” said Newcomer. “I look forward to spearheading Kindara’s mission to innovate in the space by introducing new concepts and tools that will help more women meet their fertility goals.”
Newcomer will report directly to Kindara’s CEO. For more information about Kindara, visit www.kindara.com.
