Hey Kindara,What is really going on if I have light bleeding on my 15th and 16th luteal phase days but my temperatures stay high?-Valerie25Flower mound

Hey Valerie,

There are two likely reasons for the light bleeding you are experiencing late in your luteal phase.  First, it could be spotting before your period. Many women experience spotting at the end of their period, during ovulation, or just before their period. Or it could be implantation bleeding. By most accounts implantation bleeding occurs 10-14 days after conception and may be caused by the fertilized egg attaching to the lining of the uterus. Implantation bleeding is totally normal and is not dangerous. If you don’t get your period in the next few days, we recommend taking a pregnancy test.
